A better front porch

Welcome to Barry’s public home base.

This site is meant to be a cleaner, calmer doorway into Barry’s world: the stage work, the family story, the creative side quests, the practical systems, and the longer reflections that deserve more room than a social-media post. It is personal without trying to be a diary, public without pretending life is simple, and built to become more useful over time.

Branson, Missouri

Member of SIX — a contemporary vocal band.

SIX is not the Broadway musical. It is a live Branson show built around brothers, harmony, vocal percussion, and the sound of an entire band created by human voices.

Systems & stories

Not just a vocalist. A producer, builder, entertainer, and pattern-noticer.

Long before Barry had a stage, he had tools, bicycle parts, and a need to understand how things worked. That same instinct still shows up in music, show production, technology, vehicles, writing, and the ongoing work of making life more usable.

Voice & stagecraft

Decades of live performance, family-band history, vocal percussion, harmony, timing, comedy, and the strange discipline of making a show feel alive every night.

Practical systems

From production gear to websites, AI tools, vehicles, health routines, and daily workflows, Barry tends to look for the machinery underneath the moment.

Human meaning

Objects, songs, machines, memories, and old ideas can all become continuity anchors — ways of carrying a life forward without pretending it was ever simple.

Ideas that stayed

Some ideas keep tapping on the window.

Barry’s long-running snack concept, nūhĕlth™, began years ago with a simple frustration: he could not find the kind of nut mix he actually wanted to eat. The earliest version was roughly equal parts dark chocolate raisins, salted cashews, and shelled pistachios — satisfying, simple, and a little more joyful than ordinary trail mix.

Not trail mix as punishment. Not candy as surrender.

A better middle: practical, satisfying, and built around the kind of balance a real person might actually want. Like the rest of this site, the idea is still being shaped carefully before it tries to become anything louder.

Writing & reflections

The archive is being curated.

Barry has written publicly about life, faith, family, grief, humor, mental health, social media, and what it feels like to be a very private person who has spent much of his life onstage. Some older pieces are being reviewed and polished before they are featured again.

Personal reflections

Life musings, faith, family, grief, humor, and the long work of making sense of things without turning every thought into a public performance.

Behind the scenes

Notes from a life in live entertainment: brothers, harmonies, audience energy, show mechanics, and the invisible systems that keep the music moving.

Signal over noise

A quieter place for longer thoughts — less reactive than social media, more deliberate than a passing post, and built with public clarity in mind.
