I write about that gap: between policy and practice, intention and incentive, certainty and evidence, the story we tell and the thing that actually happened. The subjects vary—human nature, organizations, technology, belief, peace, family, live entertainment—but the habit is the same.
Pay attention. Ask the next question. Leave room to be wrong.
