COVID-19 and LOSS
I have previously mourned the loss of both parents, as well as, a previous marriage to this one. Divorce in some respects, can be worse than death, in that the loss of the person, who was once a huge part of your life, is gone but also not gone. Death is much more permanent. It doesn’t cruelly taunt in the same way a divorce does.
Hindsight has brought substantial clarity, but no one could have seen the kind of loss brought on by both the pandemic and the political war-mongering that has been raging, especially this year, which has also brought out the worst in some people.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has claimed many victims through death, both via the illness itself and via suicide, resulting from the despondency and desperation of losing jobs, housing, marriages—you name it.
It has also claimed even more living victims, which the news media reports on, much less. Divorces are way up. Families and friendships have been destroyed. Normally law-abiding citizens have resorted to criminal activities. Formerly sane-minded people have seemingly lost access to their otherwise clear faculties and are now engaged in activities absolutely incongruent with their former selves.
The worst thoughts of my brain could never have imagined what I am witnessing, these days, with the overwhelming madness that seems to have enveloped us!
This past year has shown a side of humans I previously only read about or watched on movies or TV. I never imagined it would hit so close to home, either! It has truly been a trial of faith!
My heart goes out to all who have been affected. May God’s Peace find place in our hearts and may we be more inclined to sacrifice our own interests for the overall betterment of all!

So true, 2020 is a year of controversy for sure, and I still have faith in people, things will turn around!
After seeing on television, about the Navajo Nation, struggling for water, having to have it trucked in, and them deciding, to drink, cook or bathe, I’m saddened, that Native American people are treated like this, pushed to the background, and forgotten, and thier struggle, just to servive! Shameful……
@ the moment I am having a guy transcribe enough music for me to put together a concert, raise money for water and food, to help keep them afloat, they live under the poverty level, I’m trying for next Spring!
But any money or food, you can send thier way would be appreciated!
Blessings….
Thank you, John. Thank you for remembering the original inhabitants of this continent!
I am great full to have been raised as a Christian, I was taught early the love of god. I never dreamed of seeing the things we are seeing today. The simple things of just going to the stores to supply your needs, to now going and the shelves being empty. I pray Americans renew their faith, and live the best of what god has for them. My prayers for your entire family, and faith that god uses you as he has in the past. Just remember gods love never changes we do! Please pray for Americans to unite, as we are all in this together!
Thank you very much, Ralph for your encouraging and uplifting words!
While the pandemic has changed the world in ways we could never have imagined, there also has been good and kindness. During these past few months I lost my best girlfriend of twenty five years. So there has been great sadness but I’ve also witnessed the kindness of family, neighbors, friends and strangers.
Unfortunately I think the media plays up the unrest making more tensions. There are people making poor decisions. Hopefully the Lord will help lead people back into his fold. We need to put our best foot forward and try to find the best in people and concentrate on that so we can come together as family and a united country.
Remember the past but keep your eyes on the now and the future. And pray a lot!
Wishing you all the best! You are an amazing person. You are also a sensational singer and entertainer. ❤️
